Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 26th July sees the band led by Geoof Bull, trumpet/vocals with Gary Walford on piano for a distinctly New Orleans jazz sound....

We've not had Geoff Bull play with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield for several months now and he's been in Europe playing, including the big Ascona Jazz Festival in Switzerland...
Back with us on Friday 26th July with pianist Gary Walford, Gary Kohrmann on double bass and Joel Davis on drums all complementing the regular members of the Bridge City Jazz Band...myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo, Colin Beal on clarinet and alto sax and John Bates on trombone and vocals...
To use an oft used phrase by DQ..."the band will swing like a dunny door in a southerly...!"

Regular gigs for Bridge City JB in other venues and special guests for Club Ashfield to come...

Where is Club Ashfield??
