Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 28th June sees the band led by the Canberra trio with Tony Thomas on trumpet...

Well the Canberra boys are back.....!
The former Black Mountain Jazz Band combines with the Bridge City Jazz band for the night as the Black Mountain and Bridge City Jazz Band....
A respected and sought after band...with a slight New Orleans flavour, musically the night swings....
Vocals by trumpet leader Tony Thomas and trombonist John Bates...piano by Ron Cook and drums by the man from the South...Ian Hill from Mossy Point...makes the long drive up to Sydney for the gig as do Tony and Ron from Canberra.....
Talk about keen....
Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo make up the band...
