Traditional Jazz, Live Jazz in Sydney...The Bridge City Jazz Band are running a big birthday bash this coming Friday 8th February 2013 at Club Ashfield...our special guest band leader for the night, Geoff Power is celebrating his 50th birthday and we intend to do it with him in style....Peter Locke is on piano and Lawrie Thompson on drums...

This is the first special birthday we've celebrated for a favourite trumpet play of the band...Geoff Power..
He's cracked 50....
And we've hired a favourite piano player of his...Lockie...Peter Locke and with the super smooth drummer Lawrie Thompson in the drum chair, the night will "swing like a dunny door in a southerly..."
The rest of the band...John Bates on trombone, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo will start the night off...
We'll have selected sit-in's from musos we know, a giant birthday cake to cut and a giant birthday card for those present to write nice things about Geoff....
