Jazz in Sydney....Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield- Friday 20th May...Jiri Kripac leads on trumpet, David Stevens on piano, Chris Gentle on drums and DQs back on banjo....

Bit of a mixup from DQ over the events on this site since I was in the USA...I took a laptop, but had difficulty in getting internet contact at a suitable time, so information on last Sunday's gig at the Robertson Tavern in the Southern Highlands with the Black Mountain and Bridge City Jazz Band didn't get up loaded...am sure it was a great day....
Well DQs in Los Angeles on the way back to Sydney and this is where this is written from...
I'm back in Sydney Friday Morning....
Then that evening, 20th at Club Ashfield we have Jiri Kripac...affectionately known as "the bouncing Czech/cheque" with a play on words.....
Jiri's leading on trumpet and some vocals....other guests are David Stevens on piano, Chris Gentle on drums....the Bridge City JB completes with John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on clarinet and alto sax and myself back on banjo....
