Jazz in Sydney....Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield Friday 25th February 2011....

Friday 25th...last Friday in February and with the Unity Hall Hotel only running jazz now on the first Friday of the month, the opportunity to hire Geoff Bull, trumpet and Gary Walford piano is too good to pass up....as well drummer Graham Hilgendorf, a favourite of Geoff's is available and will fill the drum stool....
The night will tend to New Orleans jazz, a genre that Geoff and Gary admire so the night will be a good one....

The Bridge City Jazz band plays other gigs in other venues, in 4,5,6,7 piece format...we often play with three members of the now retired Black Mountain Jazz Band from Canberra...Tony Thomas trumpet...Ron Cook, piano....and Ian Hill, drums....
