Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band......... Tonight, Friday 14th July 2023 sees the 20th Anniversary of playing at the Club every Friday evening….and we have Geoff Power, trumpet & Paul Furniss, sopr.sax on lead with Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano & Graaham Hilgendorf on drums as special guests....

 

This coming Friday 14th  July 2023... The 20th Anniversary of the band playing every Friday at Club Ashfield sees a special night with  special guests ... Geoff Power playing trumpet lead and Paul Furniss on soprano sax lead with  Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano and Graham Hilgendorf  on drums...

They join the Bridge City JB regulars.... Mike Hallam on trombone, Jack Wiard on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass & myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo .

A great night of traditional jazz for 2023....



 











Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Grand Stella Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....

These are the original members of the band who played in 2003.... the band was named by our then permanent drummer, Jim Morrell & who is 95 yo....
