Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....GOOD NEWS! Club Ashfield open again for Trad. Jazz with the Bridge City Jazz Band ..... this coming Friday 7th May 2021 has Greg Englert leading the band on trumpet with Al Davey on trombone, Robbie Mann on piano & Joel Davis on drums....

Al Davey  led  the Bridge City Jazz Band last Friday and is back this week at Club Ashfield on trombone while our regular trombonist Mike Hallam has some surgical repairs & we hope to have him back in a few weeks.

Welcome to Greg Englert who leads the band this Friday 7th May 2021 on cornet & we are sure to have a Louis Armstrong flavour to the nights playing... Greg is a "died in the wool" Louis fan...

Robbie Mann is back on the Club's grand piano with Joel Davis on the drum stool...

They complement the Bridge City JB regulars.... Jack Wiard on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass & myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo...

A great night of traditional jazz shaping up!!

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at and other BCJB future gigs...Club Ashfield

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Grand Stella Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on most Jazz nights....
