Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday ...and this coming Friday the 8th February 2019 has two new special guests.... Zach Raffen on trumpet from Canberra and Robbie Mann of the Club's grand piano also from Canberra, now based in the Blue Mtns west of sydney and on drums, our own evergreen Jim Morrell...

So this coming Friday 8th February 2019 sees us with two new special guests at Club Ashfield to complement the Bridge City Jazz Band regulars...both from Canberra...Zach Raffen on trumpet lead, Robbie Mann on piano and also as a special guest, Jim Morrell on drums.... as mentioned the BCJB regulars....Mike Hallam on trombone/harmonica, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
Am sure we are in for a great night of traditional jazz...

  Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
