Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 21st April 2017 we are back at the Club following Easter with Al Davey leading the band on trumpet, Peter Locke on piano and Chris Gentle on drums......

Al Davey's back leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on trumpet and later perhaps a little trombone at Club Ashfield on this coming Friday 21st April with our other special guests on the night...Peter Locke on the Club's grand piano and Chris Gentle on drums, adding to the Bridge City JB regulars....Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo...
Shaping up to be a great night of traditional jazz.....




Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
