Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 10th March 2017 Al Davey is back on trumpet lead with Geoff Power on trombone, Monique Lysiak on the grand piano and Joel Davis on drums....

Al Davey was on trombone for us last Friday at Club Ashfield and this week he leads the Bridge City Jazz Band on trumpet with super trumpet player Geoff Power on trombone!! Monique Lysiak is on the Club's grand piano and Joel Davis on drums ...they join the Bridge City JB as our special guests for the night, joining BCJB regulars Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on reeds and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
A night oozing with traditional jazz.....!

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
