Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have four special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 18th November leading the band is James Power on trumpet, Peter Locke on piano, Chris Gentle on drums and Al Davey on trombone....

The Bridge City Jazz Band like to encourage younger players into Jazz and we've the youthful James Power, one of the Sydney Power family of musicians leading the band on trumpet at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 18th November with Peter Locke on the Club's grand piano, Al Davey on trombone and Chris Gentle on the bands drum kit.....
The Bridge City JB regulars join them....Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo.
If you've heard James play in the Geoff Power Great Gatsby Orchestra you'll know we are in for a great night of traditional jazz .......





Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....  


Best of all the admission is FREE....
