Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 23rd September Jiri Kripac..."The bouncing Czech" leads the band on trumpet with Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano, Jack Wiard on reeds and Craig Lee on drums....

The Bridge City Jazz band is led by "The bouncing Czech", Jiri Kripac on trumpet lead at Club Ashfield this coming Friday 23rd September 2016 as special guest with three other special guests...Bradley Newman on piano and with our regular reed player away, Jack Wiard is on soprano sax and clarinet and Craig Lee's on the bands drum kit.....
Always an interesting night of traditional jazz with Jiri in the lead.....
Our regular band members, John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo make up the seven piece band for the night...

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....  

Best of all the admission is FREE....
