Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday 21st November 2014...we've Al Davey on trumpet lead, Peter Locke on the Club's grand piano and Jim Morrell on drums....

Al Davey's a great trumpet and trombone player in the traditional jazz scene and he's with us this coming Friday 21st November 2014 at Club Ashfield to lead the Bridge City Jazz Band on trumpet...Peter Locke on the Club's grand piano and he'll likely have his trumpet with him and we can organise a trumpet duo with Bradley Newman on piano...he usually pops along for the night.
Jim Morrell, the bands drummer in the early stages is on the drum stool tonight.
These join with the regular Bridge City Jazz Band regulars...John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Davies on double bass, myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo and Colin Beal on alto saxophone and clarinet...
A supercharged traditional jazz band playing for you....
See you on the night....
