Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...these coming Fridays 13th and 20th September 2013 with DQ away we've Bill Dudley on cornet lead with Gary Walford on piano, Jim Morrell on drums and Cliff Parsons on banjo...

With me...Dennis Quinlan...away for two Fridays, the Bridge City Jazz Band still plays at Club Ashfield, and I've arranged for the same four special guests to play for you, with the other Bridge City Jazz Band regulars on Friday 13th and Friday 20th September 2013....
Club Ashfield of course is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield, beside the Ashfield Railway Station on the northern side with the gig starting at 7.30pm through to 10.30pm in the first floor bistro/function area...see further down this post for map details....
Who are they? Well evergreen Bill Dudley is on cornet lead with Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano, Jim Morrell on drums and Cliff Parsons on banjo....
Bill always provides an interesting night...or in this case two nights...of swinging traditional jazz....
Come along.....
Of course our regular band members are Colin Beal on clarinet and alto saxophone, John Bates on trombone and vocals and Colin Davies my other co-leader on double bass....

Future special guests at Club Ashfield with the Bridge City Jazz Band and other gigs for the band.
