Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 9th August 2013 sees "The Canberra Trio" as we call them, back up in Sydney with Tony Thomas on trumpet lead....

We are always pleased to combine with the three former Black Mountain Jazz Band members from Canberra making up the 7 piece Black Mountain and Bridge City Jazz Band, a band with a distinctly New Orleans flavour, musically....
Lead by Tony Thomas on trumpet and vocals, Ron Cook on Club Ashfield's grand piano, Ian Hill on drums and with John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Beal on clarinet and alto saxophone, Dennis Quinlan on banjo and returning from a 4 week stint in the UK is Colin Davies on double bass...
