Live traditional, danceable Jazz in Sydney....!! Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...this coming Friday 26th April sees Geoff Power leading the band with pianist Frank Watts and Drummer Jim Morrell the other special guests.....

Geoff Power is one of Sydney, likely Australia's busiest traditional jazz trumpet/cornet players and it is always great to have him back at Club Ashfield for the regular Friday night gig with the Bridge City Jazz Band, a gig he professes to like immensely.....
We like him too......
Frank Watts, resident on the NSW Central Coast is one of our regulars and fits the piano stool like a well worn glove....
Jim Morrell needs no introduction...the Bridge City Jazz Bands resident drummer at its inception until family health problems saw his retirement from regular drumming,  he likes to keep his skills honed and is with us on the evening of Friday 26th April....Club Ashfield has become known as THE place for traditional jazz and the board and staff are super supportive of the gig.....

Regulars from the Bridge City Jazz Band....John Bates..trombone and vocals....; Colin Davies, double bass, myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo and after a months recovery following a new knee, Colin Beal returns to play reeds...

Where is Club Ashfield?
Beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side in Charlotte Street.....

Future guests at Club Ashfield and other Bridge City Jazz Band gigs.....
