Live Sydney Jazz!! Live traditional jazz in Sydney...This Friday 7th Sept. see's the Bridge City Jazz Band running a special birthday bash night for well known and popular drummer Neil Macbeth...celebrating his 75th birthday- the Canberra duo Tony Thomas, on trumpet and Ron Cook, piano make up the special guests for the evening, but there will be other muso friends there of note to "sit-in"...

Hardly seems 5 years back that we ran a special birthday bash for Neil Macbeth's 70th birthday....
We'll he's hale and hearty and 75, so the Bridge City Jazz Band invite you along for a great night of traditional jazz to celebrate it....
We'll start off the night...and finish it...with Tony Thomas on trumpet, Ron Cook on piano -both up from Canberra for the night- the usual BCJB boys in attendance...Colin Beal on reeds, John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Davies on double bass and Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
And of course, on drums...Neil Macbeth- the birthday boy!
Geoff Bull will be along also with a 7 piece Japanese traditional jazz band who are in Sydney for the weekend and will play the 3rd set.....
It's shaping up to a super evening.....
