Live, Traditional Jazz in Sydney.....this Friday 6th July sees John Roberts up from Victoria and he's on trumpet lead for the Bridge City Jazz band with David Stevens on piano....

John Roberts came from the Sydney area an age ago but is better known as a Melbourne trumpet player and he's in Sydney this coming Friday 6th July and his old mate David Stevens is keen to meet up with him and he'll be on the Club's grand piano with evergreen Jim Morrell on drums....

Club Ashfield....the heart now it seems of traditional jazz in Sydney...5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield, beside the Ashfield railway station on the northern side....

We play of course up in the bistro/function area on the first floor, 7.30pm through to 10.30pm...

The usual  Bridge City Band member complement the special guest....John Bates on trombone and vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo....

An interesting night of traditional jazz to be served up to you....
