Well this post for next Friday is a little late...apologies, but I feel I've a good excuse...my daughter gave birth to her second child in the early hours of Saturday morning...A little girl..DQs a grandfather again...
On to Jazz in Sydney...
Mike Hallam's back leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on trumpet,likely to have his trombone and harmonica and a few vocals thrown in as well....
Coupled with Peter Locke on piano, Craig Lee on drums and with Mike Poore over to replace John Bates on trombone...John's elsewhere for the night- the audience will be in for a treat....

That leaves three of the usual Bridge City JB members...Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo.....
And of course a reminder of Club Ashfield...5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield, beside the railway station on the northern side...we play in the first floor bistro/function area 7.30pm to 10.30pm...
As well we've some great nights planned so below is a map of the Club, and lists of the forthcoming guests with the band...
And if you fancy something different, DQ runs the Sydney Banjo Band rehearsal monthly with the next being at Club Ashfield on Wed.18th April, 6.45pm to 9pm....
