Thursday 26th January was Australia Day, a public holiday throughout Australia and in Sydney there has been a ferry boat race in the harbour for many years...in fact the first had a ferry rented by the Sydney Jazz Club complete with a Jazz band and a hoard of happy jazz followers aboard....
Well the SJC still runs a Jazz Ferry Cruise each Australia day for 5 hours and this year the band playing for the 350 patrons aboard was the Bridge City and Black Mountain Jazz Band....
Its now Thursday 26th, I'm back from the cruise...a great day and a few additional photos of the band who'll play Friday evening 27th......
My little grandaughter, 13 month old Elizabeth May, dances with the Jazz crowd...
Then the band reformes for the Friday evening gig at Club Ashfield....
