Live Jazz in Sydney ...A powerful driving soprano saxophanist is Paul Furniss and he leads the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield this coming Friday, 25th November 2011.....

We should feature Paul Furniss more frequently at Club Ashfield for our Friday night traditional Jazz nights.....
A powerful, driving Soprano Saxophone player he leads the band in the manner of a trumpet...and the band swings like crazy....
Phew....
Coupled with Gary Walford on the Club's grand piano and Viv Carter on drums, the Bridge City Jazz Band will be a force to be reckoned with this coming Friday 25th November....
All we need is yourself and some friends....fill the function area on the first floor....
Where is Club Ashfield....??
5 Charlotte Street, Ashfield, 20 metres on the northern side of Ashfield Railway Station makes it a very accessible venue....
The rest of the Bridge City Jazz Band, flushed from the previous weekend with the guys from the old Black Mountain JB are chaffing at the bit to play...
John Bates, trombone and vocals.....Colin Beal, complimenting Paul Furniss on clarinet and alto saxophone.... Colin Davies, double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....
