Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 30th September we're having " A Celebration of 1920's Jazz" led by David Ridyard on soprano sax and other reeds, Brad Newman on the Club's grand piano and Jim Morrell on drums...

This coming Friday 22nd July 2016 at Club Ashfield we've a special evening that features David Ridyard leading the Bridge City Jazz Band for "A Celebration of 1920's Jazz", Brad Newman is on the Club's grand piano, Jim Morrell is on drums and ....they compliment the regular Bridge City Jazz Band personnel....John Bates on trombone and vocals, myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo and Colin Beal on additional reeds and Colin Davies on double bass.....
This is building up to a super night of traditional jazz.......




Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....  

Best of all the admission is FREE....
