Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 2nd September Bill Dudley's back in town and plays cornet lead for use with Carolyn "Pines" Packer on the Clubs grand piano and Jimmy Fletcher on drums....

"Bill's Back" as the SJC associated flyer tells us.....
Bill Dudley leads the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield on this coming Friday 2nd September with members of his old "New Orleanians" band, Carolyn Packer on piano and Jim Fletcher on drums as the special guest musicians.
They join up with the Bridge City regulars...John Bates on trombone/vocals, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo...
A swinging night of traditional jazz with a slight New Orleans flavour....
Pack your dancing shoes and get along to the Club...!

Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...

Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
Best of all the admission is FREE....
